YouTube is partnering with Amazon to let eligible U.S. creators tag Amazon products directly in videos, Shorts, and live streams.

How the YouTube & Amazon Partnership Works

Creators can connect their Amazon Influencer Program or Amazon Associates Program accounts and select products from a curated catalog to tag during upload or on existing content. Those with Auto-tagging enabled can also have relevant products automatically tagged.

When viewers click a product tag, they’ll be directed to Amazon’s shopping experience, while creators earn a commission on sales driven through those tags. Creators can track clicks and estimated revenue through YouTube Studio and receive payouts through their AdSense accounts.

What It Means for YouTube, Creators & Amazon

YouTube joins Meta and Pinterest, which also launched affiliate integrations with Amazon this year, as it takes another step toward its ambition to become a premier shopping destination, an area CEO Neal Mohan outlined as a priority for the platform in 2026.

With more than one million creators now in the YouTube Shopping program, following moves like lowering eligibility requirements and expanding to new regions, bringing Amazon into the fold gives creators an even larger catalog of products to promote directly in their content. A July 2026 experiment found that videos using YouTube Shopping product tags alone saw more than 110% more product clicks than videos using description links alone.

Similar to its partnerships with Meta and Pinterest, Amazon benefits by tapping into social platforms where many of its existing affiliates are already sharing product recommendations, while creating another avenue to recruit creators into its affiliate ecosystem.

Affiliate Marketing Is Having a Moment

The move comes as affiliate marketing becomes a bigger conversation across the creator economy , from its growing role as a revenue stream for creators to the continued rise of TikTok Shop and, more recently, scrutiny and allegations involving buzzy affiliate startups.
