Sell the Story, Not the Product #shorts

Every customer buys two things.

The product and a better story about themselves.

Someone buying skincare is not just buying a cream. They’re buying, “I still look good.”

Someone buying accounting software is buying, “I have my business under control.”

Someone buying a course is buying, “I’m capable of figuring this out.”

That second purchase is where most landing pages lose the sale.

They explain what the product does, list a few benefits, and hammer the customer’s pain.

But they never answer the silent question underneath every purchase:

“What will buying this allow me to believe about myself?”

I call this the identity payoff.

Before I build a landing page in GoHighLevel’s AI Studio, I ask AI three questions:

What is the customer buying?

Who do they want to feel like after they buy it?

What are they afraid their current problem says about them?

Then I give AI Studio this instruction:

“Write this landing page around the customer’s identity payoff. Show what the product helps them do, but also what it helps them feel and believe about themselves. Address the problem without shaming them, and make the purchase feel like proof that they are becoming the person they want to be.”

Because customers rarely choose the product with the most features.

They choose the product that reflects the version of themselves they want to see.

Your landing page should not just sell them something.

It should show them who they get to become by buying it.
