Noel Griffith, CMO at SupplyGem, explains, “Brands that do consistently well on Threads are the ones that engage with their followers like real people. Ask questions, run polls, and even share funny memes and videos. When you build that authentic connection, your followers are much more likely to stick around and help you grow your audience organically.”
Your Threads account is the perfect place to share personal stories or anecdotes, milestones within your company, personal updates, and more. Share real-time current events, talk about the life of being an entrepreneur or small business owner, or repost posts in your niche as a way to engage with your target audience.
You can even boost engagement by sharing a sneak peek of something coming up in your business or brand, much like how you might post a carousel on Instagram.
3. Interact with others
As you scroll the Threads app, one thing you’ll notice is the vast amount of brand accounts that are leaving comments on new Threads from other brands, creators, and regular users. This is a place to engage, rather than just “post at.”
Will Yang, Head of Growth and Marketing at Instrumentl, says, “I use Threads extensively for both personal and business purposes, and I’ve learned that the key to really maximizing the platform is engagement. Threads is all about building community, so you have to be willing to put in the time to thoughtfully interact with others.”
How do you do that? Yang continues, “Comment on people’s social media posts, ask questions, and have actual conversations — don’t just post content into the void hoping people will notice. Make connections and relationships. Share knowledge and experiences. Be helpful and add value for others, not just yourself.”
